Quixant announce QXi-200 lifespan extension
1 February 2017
The hugely popular QXi-200 gaming platform from market-leading gaming hardware suppliers, Quixant, has received a long-term boost following the extension of its End of Life date. Previously planned to be discontinued in early 2018, AMD’s on-board G-series chipset will now be available for a further three years, until the first half of 2021.
Since its introduction to the market in 2011, QXi-200 has become Quixant’s biggest-selling product. Combining fully fan-less operation, cost-effectiveness and highly versatile connectivity with unprecedented levels of reliability, this solution for two-screen applications remains the all-in-one gaming controller of choice among an impressive variety of OEMs - in Europe and beyond. As a result, this extension of lifespan has proven very welcome news to a large proportion of Quixant’s clients.
John Malin, Sales Director for Quixant UK, commented: “We’re delighted to come to this agreement with AMD; as always, our fundamental objective is to make life as simple as possible for our customers. The extension allows all QXi-200 users the comfort of concentrating on critical subjects, such as game development – safe in the knowledge that there will be long-term supply of, and support for, their PC hardware.”
