Quixant bring all-new gaming platform and graphics card to ICE Totally Gaming
7 February 2017
Continuous innovation is one of the hallmarks of Quixant’s approach to its market-leading brand of PC-based gaming hardware – and ICE Totally Gaming 2017 has shown this to be more true than ever. To complement their already comprehensive product portfolio, the QXi-400 all-in-one platform and AMD E9260 (Coruja) discrete graphics card are both making their ICE debuts on stand N1-520; should the reception on day one of the exhibition be anything to go by, they will prove very important additions.
Utilising new-generation AMD G-Series “Brown Falcon” SoC technology, the QXi-400 satisfies the needs of machine manufacturers requiring fast, graphically complex gaming on their two-display application. Its long-term Windows 7 and Linux support, allied with a completely fan-less design, backwards-compatible software libraries and APIs, at a competitive price level, ensures that QXi-400 will provide an attractive proposition to machine OEMs in Europe and beyond.
The E9260 “Coruja” from AMD Embedded Radeon™ is Quixant’s latest enhancement to their upgradeable QGCM discrete graphics card line for gaming. Offering 4K compatibility and designed to operate in conjunction with the recently launched QMax-1 gaming platform, Coruja truly sets the standard in ultra-high-end graphical performance.
Day one of ICE also brought great interest in existing control board solutions. The entry-level QXi-307 proved highly popular, as did the QXi-6000 three-screen platform which is designed with the VLT market in mind. In addition to this, demonstrations relating to Quixant’s ever-developing gaming Ecosystem - including SAS 6.02, hardware-based video decoding, and AMD Freesync™ technologies - ensured that there was always something to engage the imagination of the industry.
