Games magazine Brazil: Interview with Patricia Souto Rial at SBC Summit Rio 2025

Patricia Souto Rial from Quixant discusses our commitment to the burgeoning Brazilian gaming market at SBC Summit Rio 2025. We offer comprehensive solutions, encompassing product innovation, software support, and localised customer service tailored to the Brazilian context. We actively prepare for anticipated regulations in the physical gaming sector, complementing our existing focus on the online market. Patricia highlights the importance of post-sales support and strategic partnerships to facilitate a smooth integration for our Brazilian clients. Currently, we prioritise opportunities within state lotteries, particularly in Paraná and Bahia, while expressing excitement about the overall potential in Brazil. We are dedicated to the Brazilian market, demonstrated by participation in BiS SiGMA in São Paulo.

Games Magazine Brasil (GMB): “We are here with Patricia Soto Rial. She is Vice President of Business Development for Spain and LatAm at Quixant. How are you, Patricia? All good?”

Patricia Souto Rial (PSR): “Ana Maria, it’s a pleasure to be here in Rio with the Brazilian gaming community.

GMB: “Thank you very much for being with us. Are you enjoying the fair? The pavilion is super lively with Samba music all day. Is the pavilion good?”

PSR: “The pavilion is very nice, the organisation is fantastic, and the opportunities that this fair offers are incredible, unbeatable. Really, the first day of the fair and the Quixant team delegation, the expectations have been very good.”

GMB: “Tell us what innovations Quixant is presenting now in the first month, the second month already, of the regular Brazilian market here in Brazil.”

PSR: “The Quixant team, as we mentioned in our interview at the Barcelona fair, has a broad commitment to the Brazilian market. It is a very important market for us. Physically, we do not have staff, but there is a delegation of the team that is part of directors and engineers attending to the needs of our clients, and as for innovations, we offer a complete solution that is the continuity of what we launched at the Barcelona fair, both in terms of product and in terms of innovation and support, from when a client makes their first contact until they evaluate the equipment, as well as the support and onboarding to integrate all the software they want to require so that it is the most comprehensive and complete solution possible, attending to the particular needs of this market. And logically, the team speaks Spanish, Brazilian, and travels constantly to this wonderful country.

Likewise, we have our partner here in Brazil who we are collaborating with to distribute our products and space. Wonderful news to come in these months.”

GMB: “Okay, how did you adapt, how are you adapting to the new regulations in the Brazilian market? What do you think of the start of regulation here of regulated operation in Brazil? And what are the products and services that you would highlight the most for such a competitive region to differentiate Quixant from the others?”

PSR: “Thank you very much, a very important question that is related to the previous one, because not only does the Quixant team work on a face-to-face level – it is absolutely wonderful that they have regulated the online market with all the opportunities and benefits that this implies. We are looking forward to the regulation of the face-to-face market. Quixant has been working actively in these two years to do things well, both in terms of product and in terms of software support, the human quality and the team behind it at the level of engineering operations. It should be noted that at the level of operational and financial distribution, very important, the study has been done and we have a team dedicated to the Brazilian team and that our clients in this wonderful country that we love can acquire our products and services and not worry about how they are, so they can focus on the content of the games, on the graphics, and we facilitate this journey from the beginning to the end, hand in hand as a business partner, to the extent and throughout the process, understanding the cultural focus and the ways of working in this industry.”

GMB: “Very well, and what are the biggest opportunities you see here in Brazil?”

PSR: “Opportunities, it is a box that is about to open with wonderful opportunities in the face-to-face game. We hope and wish that at the federal level they will approve the law. It is a wonderful opportunity, as we mentioned, that we have not been working on this from now, but from years ago, preparing ourselves adequately at a commercial, operational, and product level, and very, very important: trust in Quixant does not end when we sell you a product. The after-sales service is important, and we are also focused on that part.

Right now, what we are working on is everything that is State lottery. As you know, Brazil has 27 states, and there are certain states like Paraná, Paraíba, that are all a bit more regulated, and they are markets in which they are certainly working actively, and the future at this moment is focused towards those two states at this current moment, offering a complete solution covering different angles so that the client has the most complete and easy solution for them so that they can sell their products with the total confidence and guarantees offered by Quixant.”

GMB: “Will you be present at BiS SiGMA the following month in April in São Paulo?”

PSR: “Quixant will be present at BiS SiGMA, and it is part of our commitment to the Brazilian market. It is at street level with our clients to continue advancing in current projects and in the wonderful future that is to come.”

GMB: “Thank you, Patricia. A pleasure to talk with you.”

PSR: “Always, Maria. Thank you.”
